Week 2:Day Eight
OK then. I did 5 cycle of 3 minutes running/3 minutes walking. And I survived. I didn't have a lot of get up and go today for some reason. Still, I think, I covered 2.5 miles. Will have to get the truck and clock the mileage for the various routes I plan to follow.
My legs were a little tired by the time I got home. However, a 5 minute stretch session made everything feel normal. FYI I use Stretching by Bob Anderson for my stretching exercise info. I don't know that it is the best or whatever it was the only stretching book the bookstore had on the shelf. There are a bunch of Yoga books available but I know nothing about the subject. Maybe I'll go to the library and check one out to see what it is all about.
Also I have Running 101 by Joe Henderson. Just for refreshing my memory as far as technique and stuff like that.It is been a very informative book. And I've read Running by Jim Fixx. Information overload. This is the bible of running, sort of. The type of book you read a few pages, put it down, and run. Next day do it again. And so on. I tend to get confused with too much info. Just like my golf swing. My friend Jon says it's impossible to think of more than 2 things at one time. Yet you need to try and do about 7 or 8 things at the same time to hit it straight. Sometimes the ball goes straight but not every time.
Sometime today I'll try to put on a couple more links to places I find interesting. Until later will run for beer. Bye.
