A Nice Sunday in the Park
Well I did it again. I had the post all set and ready to publish and my fat fingers hit the wrong keys in the right combination and deleted it. Let me try once more,
I ran the state park route today. The weather was sunny 52 degrees with a stiff breeze off the bay. I ran it backwards compared to Monday's run and realized that the reason my shins whined so loudly is because it is uphill. It's a long gradual rise in elevation but it's there. I must of been asleep or in a fog; wait, it was foggy that day; to not notice I'm running uphill. Feel like a dork about that.
Todays run/walk went just fine. The first half my legs were a little tight but not bad. Not bad for running uphill. At the apex, or is it the zenith, of the hill is when I realized I was running uphill. Then it was all downhill. Managed to get done about 42 minutes so that's a little better than Monday.
Hopefully I'll get to TC tomorrow. I want to get a pair of running pants, for this winter when I run outside on the days weather is agreeable. And on those days when it's not I can run at North Central Michigan College. The indoor track goes around the basketball courts. 9 laps to the mile. The biggest reason I don't care for the indoor track is because it is hot. Senior citizens walk there and management, to keep them happy, maintains too warm a tempature. But it is better than nothing.
OK then. Will run for beer.
