A Foggy Monday

Went around the block this morning. When I started out it was really foggy. Couldn't see down the road a 1/4 mile. Yet the wind was blowing. Strange January weather so far. About 32 degrees so not too bad temp wise. And had a good time for the run. More running than walking today. 44 minutes. Felt real good at the end with just a couple of twinges from the ITB towards the end. I think a 40 minute time is not unreasonable, even for me.
I've discovered, that when I feel the ITB tighten, I can lengthen my stride and that helps to dissapate the tightness, somewhat. The unfortunate part is I can't run that way for a long way, yet. I don't have that sort of conditioning . I'm working on that, though, slow but sure.
The roads were in good shape from the snow we had Saturday. The section I ran last week that was a sheet of ice is snow covered and not too slippery at all. All in all I feel pretty good today.
That'll do it for now. Later
