Yes I'm Back, No I Didn't Fall Off the Face of the Earth
It's been soo long since I've posted that I almost forgot I had this thing. I've been kinda, but not real busy, and couldn't seem to find time or was distracted doing something different. Just like my running.
I think I left off way back on the 19th. If my memory serves me, and it may not, I ran/walked 2.5 miles on Monday the 23rd. Saturday the 21st I slept most of the day, as Friday night was a busy shift and I worked til 4am Saturday morning. Wet heavy snow again. I honestly don't remember if I went out to run Sunday the 22nd. No clue at all. I do remember watching both football games that day though. Anyway, Mondays run/walk was uneventful, nothing special. Took 32 minutes, a little breezy about 31 degrees and overcast. I didn't stretch before I ran and I could tell. My legs felt tight and wooden. Stretched extra at the end to make up a bit.
Tuesday was our wedding anniversary. 17 years with the same woman. I don't know how she has put up with me. She reserved a room in Mackinaw City that night so we could be child-free and watched TV. WooHoo!! Not really. We spent a nice night together getting to know each other better. Had fun eating and drinking too much. Spent Wednesday driving around northern lower Michigan looking at places we used to go and driving down roads that brought back lots of fun memories. Took the day off from everything else.
Thursday I ran around the block. Did 4 miles in 45 minutes. Felt really good too. High 20's with no wind and overcast. Thought I was making better time than I was but it felt good nonetheless. Lots of stretching before and after.
And finally today I did 3.5 miles in 38 minutes. 32 degrees still overcast and a slight westerly breeze. Tried to snow but I wished it away. Mother Nature finally answered my prayers. Actually I don't care if it snows I really don't want anymore rain. My garage gets flooded because the drain is frozen this time of year. I then have to pump it out with this cute little electric pump I bought about 7 or 8 years ago. And now you are all caught up with my life.
I'll catch you later. Will run for beer.
