A Crap Week

Wednesday went out with good intentions. Did 2 1/2 miles in 30 minutes. Legs felt like crap and fought the wind the whole time I was running. A steady 20mph breeze. No letup, just in your face no matter which way you went. Blew my 4 mile run.
Thursday was sunny but still windy. I stayed home and cleaned house. We're having a B'day party for our girls Saturday. This is for family and friends. Their birthdays both fall in March and it's just easier for all to do one big bash. We celebrate their respective birthdays as a family, so it works out they get 2 celebrations. Lucky kids.
Friday went out for a run. Plan was to go around the block. 3/4 mile out I had to turn around and head home. Fast walk slow run back. Spent a 1/2 hour on the crapper. Didn't go back out. Finished cleaning house. Not many miles this week. And that's what I mean about a crap week.
Today we had the party. Everyone invited showed up. Good food drinks and company. Kids received nice gifts and got to spend time with cousins and make plans for spring break with G'ma's and aunts. No running because I ate and drank too much, as planned. Sunday starts a new week and we will get after it.
My 12 year old daughter plans on signing up for 6th grade cross country. My wife and I think it's a great idea. She is pretty much TV based and needs to get out and do some physical activity. Practice is after school everynight and starts in 2 weeks, I think. Maybe we could together once in a while and run. I should be able to keep up with her.
