Day Twenty Five
Did not do as well as I had hoped. Should have been able to go 7 minutes running and 3 minutes walking and wasn't able to. 4 minutes running was the best stretch. Not very good I realize; however, I did do 20 minutes running and 10 walking. I'm getting the time in just not by the plan.
I was talking with a co-worker about my running plan and he gave me a little advice. He thinks it will take longer, than I have scheduled, because of my age, 53, and my formerly fairly inactive lifestyle. He feels the stamina issue will resolve after 16 to 20 weeks. He's a former jogger, his words, but gave it up because of knee problems. He recommends I ride my bike more and try to run less. I'll reconsider my current plan at the 10 week mark.
I believe I'll redo this past week starting next Monday. This is my weekend for work and won't have time for exercise. So it is looking like a 10 week plan is overly ambitious and that's OK. I'm going to reach my goal even if it takes 6 months.
Til next week. Will run for beer.
