Mama's Home

Picked up my wife at the airport this morning. It is very nice to have her home. She missed us and decided to come home. But not as much as we missed her.
Went for my run/walk at the state park today. Went in a clockwise direction versus the counterclockwise direction of Sunday and Tuesday. It was a pleasant day for a run 50 and cloudy with no breeze to speak of. Took me 42 minutes again. No problem with the new shoes or my leg. Think I'll try to do a straight mile probably Monday since this my weekend to work and 1 of my goals is to run 1 mile nonstop by the middle of October. Which has past already. Time really has been flying by lately.
Remember when you were a kid and couldn't wait for time to pass? It passes all right and the older you get the faster it goes. It's going faster and faster and pretty soon you say to yourself, slow down dammit, I can't keep up. It doesn't do any good to talk to yourself but I feel better doing so. Time has a way of being steady and unbending which is not how I am but would like to be in my running. So I'll work for the next 3 days then see if I can get a mile nonstop under my belt and move on to bigger and better runs.
