Day Forty Two

At the campground there is a hiking trail. The sign by the road says it is a 2 mile loop. I ran the first mile and the better part of the second. Warm and muggy today. Nice thing about camping on a lake is jumping in the lake whenever the mood strikes. Felt wonderful after a nice workout.
I found a book at the library; once in awhile they sell old, duplicate or donated books to make room on the shelves; titled 'Diary of a Jogging Housewife' by Shirley Cook. It is a lighthearted story of her road to running. She quotes the Bible alot but I skip over those parts, I'm not a thumper. Many times her story parallels mine as a runner. How she perceives others watching her run and what she imagines people think as she's out and about. The support she recieved from her spouse and family. And how she finds things out in regards to running form and gear. Not alot of detail but a overall view of the running life. I enjoyed reading the book.
I know I've got a long way to go to reach my goals. And at the beginning I was pretty optimistic. Too much so. But I'll get where I want just will take a little longer.
OK. Will run for beer. Bye.
