Gallopin' Sunday

Ran/walked the state park route today. Went clockwise and did it in a good time, for me, of 40 minutes. Thought when I woke up this morning it might be a bad day because I could feel my IT band and it was real tight. But did the stretches and used the roller and all went well. It was a lovely day and I overdressed a bit. Dropped the sweat shirt off in the woods at 1 mile. Walked maybe 10 of the 40 minutes and I felt good running today. Sunny and 50 with a light breeze. After I finished I did my stretching and cool down and I felt energized and refreshed. Usually I just want to sit and catch my breath, maybe take a nap. Hopefully I'm finally catching on to this running business.
Went back and picked up my shirt and looked around the park but no one is around. Then I saw a sign stating today at 1pm the campground is closed. Autumn is officially here. This year we are getting a leaf drop, the leaves are actually falling off the trees. The past 2 or 3 years the wind blew them away and we didn't have much for colors. I like it better this way. Just feels better. I like the smells and the sound of your feet swishing through the leaves and the way the trees start to look when they first drop their leaves. Another change of season. Be putting the summer toys away and getting the winter toys ready to go. Starting to look forward to winter. Snow and all.
That is all. Will run for beer.
